The Village Bicycle Project is not just a way to off load your old bicycle. It s a vehicle of opportunity for the people who receive these bikes in Sierra Leone and Ghana.
While Parkites and other local residents in the Wasatch Back usually ride bikes for recreation and health, those who live in Sierra Leone and Ghana have a different reason, said Parkite Jamie May, Village Bicycle.
Panza Foundation Benefit Panza Foundation Benefit, the annual fundraising event for the locally based nonprofit that supports local musicians, takes place tonight at 8 at the Happy Dog. At this year’s benefit, previously sponsored bands Obnox, the Village Bicycle, and Biitchseat will perform. In addition to the performances, the foundation will raffle off more than $7000 in items. This includes musical gear, services like photography and sound engineering/recording, restaurant, bar, club gift cards, and even yoga and Pilates gift cards. Raffle tickets are available only at the event, and you must be in attendance to win.
