This 19th-century waterfront villa is in the town of Tremezzina, on the shores of Italy’s Lake Como, known for its impressive scenery, historic villas and celebrated residents, about 50 miles north of Milan.
The 7,535-square-foot home sits on just over a third of an acre, with a sizable boat dock stretching into the Gulf of Venus, on Lake Como’s western shore. Built in 1886 in the Liberty architectural style, it has seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread over three levels, and is replete with lavish ornamentation including ornate frescoes, all updated 10 years ago.
