Lithuanian MEP Uspakich apologises for homophobic remarks

On Wednesday, Lithuanian MEP Viktor Uspaskich apololgised for his homophobic remarks after he was threatened with expulsion from the liberal Renew Europe Group at the European Parliament. I apologise [.] sincerely, that my words, though perhaps too rude or used not carefully enough, but taken out of context, caused misunderstanding, grief and uproar, Uspaskich said in a letter seen by BNS.
The leader of the Lithuanain Labour Party assured his colleagues in Renew Europe that in the future, I will do my utmost to formulate my speeches more carefully .
