Shraddha Walkar, who was in a live-in relationship with the accused Aaftab Poonawala (28), was strangled by him on May 18 last year. The next hearing in the matter will take place on August 5.
Expressing his sorrow over the murder of his daughter, Shraddha Walker s father on Thursday said that he had forbidden her from being in a relationship with Aftab Poonawalla (now accused in the case), however, she did not listen to him.
The accused Aftab has been arrested by the police and has been kept in police custody. Shraddha's father and complainant Vikas Madan Walker has demanded his hanging.
