Zunheboto, February 11 (MExN): A six-day STRY (Skill Training of Rural Youth) programme on “Mushroom Production Techniques” was held in Satakha Old under Satakha Block of Zunheboto district from February 5-10.

Dimapur, June 17 (EMN): Agricultural Technological Management Authority (ATMA), Zunheboto block, inaugurated an integrated farm school in Sheyipu village on June 14. An update from ATMA Zunheboto stated that Vikaho Chophi, DPD ATMA Zunheboto, inaugurated the farm school. It stated that Pitoli was nominated as the farm school teacher along with seven farmers as the students. It stated that activities including fishery, bee keeping, vegetables and paddy cultivation would be imparted at the farm school. It added that Neem oil, knapsack sprayer, hand hoe, garden rake were handed over to the farm school teacher along with the record keeping register. On the occasion, Chubatsur Jamir, BTM, has demonstrated on the preparation of bio-pesticides using chilli and garlic. She also highlighted the importance of using biological control measures for any insect and pest problem faced instead of using chemical control measures.
