Mumbai on Monday reported the lowest number of new covid-19 cases in the last 47 days as 2,662 persons tested positive for the virus. On the other hand, 78 persons died due to the infection. The overall case count of the city now stands at 6,58,866 with 13,408 fatalities. At present, the metropolis has over 54,000 active cases. Bmc Commissioner Iqbal Chahal has urged citizens to come forward and get tested for covid. Maharashtra saw a drop in fresh cases and recorded 48,621 new infections on Monday.
