The juvenile eagle was discovered in a tree in southern Vigo County on March 10 by people who regularly go to that area to view eagles, Indiana conservation officers said. Officers determined the raptor died from a gunshot to the breast area.
A joint $2,000 reward is being offered by the US. Fish & Wildlife Service and Indiana Turn-in-a-Poacher Inc. to anyone with information leading to a conviction of the responsible party. Contact Indiana Conservation Officers’ Central Dispatch at 812-837-9536 or the Turn in a Poacher Inc. hotline at 1-800-847-4367 (TIP-IDNR).

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)- Pastor Billy Joe Henry led a drive-in style worship service at the Vigo Co. Fairgrounds to celebrate Easter on Sunday.
Pastor Henry is the senior pastor at the Bridge Church in Terre Haute.
He said although this type of service was new to him and his congregation, he understands how important fellowship is for some of his church members. The reason this is so important to me and others like me is because we can live stream a service and you can receive a message from God whole-heartedly and there s nothing wrong with that whatsoever, Henry said. However, when we do come to one place, on one accord and we are there, there is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit that is so powerful and it is so thick. It can really affect us.
