Here are seven unique hotel stays in Florida, some perfect for a private retreat, some with an abundance of luxury, others suited for adventure, and even one with a live rodeo. I’m finding excellent new properties all the time, but these Florida hotels have really stood out to me as providing exceptional experiences. Couple escapes savage drought to live business dream

Premium Content Subscriber only The Bahnisch family has made the ultimate sea change from a drought-ravaged property to take the reins of a luxury couples retreat. Michelle Shell Rodney and her husband Tony Bahnisch had a longstanding deal. Ms Rodney would put in 20 years on the farm and then the family would chase her dream. Just three months shy of their 20th wedding anniversary, Ms Rodney stumbled upon the Misty View Cottages up for sale in Montville. Michelle Rodney and her family run Misty View Cottages in Montville. She said it was just meant to be. We were in all honesty looking for somewhere where it rained and where there was hills and water because we came from a drought-ravaged property so it was definitely time for something new, she said.
