Two gray-shanked douc langurs (pygathrix cinerea) – the world s largest troop living in the central region of Vietnam are found living in the national Kon Ka Kinh Park in Gia Lai Province. It has been instructed to work with various ministries and other agencies to finalise economic-technical criteria for the buses and pricing. Its People’s Committee last month sought permission from the Government to operate 77 electric buses on five routes for a two-year trial period. The electric buses with 65-70 seats will be operated by conglomerate Vingroup during the trial period, but in future the operators will be chosen through tender.

The Ministry of Science and Technology signed an MoU with the Vietnam National University-HCM City at a conference on human resource development in the materials industry on April 10. “Domestic materials still have not met the demand of main manufacturing industries, which has led to dependence on imported ones,” Anh said.

The resource is not only provided funding for local production and business but also added to the city’s foreign reserves. There are currently some 2 million residents in HCM City living overseas. Last year, the city received 6.1 billion USD in remittances, up 15 percent against 2019.
