The government last August issued Resolution No.115/NQ-CP on measures to boost the development of the supporting industry through to 2030, with electronics, car assembly, and manufacturing some of the priority sectors. Kyoung-Jin An, deputy director of the Vietnam Technology Advice and Solutions from Korea Centre (VITASK) told VIRâs Oanh Nguyen about its supporting programmes to help Vietnamese businesses in the automotive and electrical-electronic industries in particular.
It has been reported that Vietnam is some way off achieving some mid- to long-term manufacturing targets. How do you evaluate domestic enterprise capacity in this regard?
