Hai Duong epicenter records two more Covid community transmissions

Northern Hai Duong Province, biggest hotspot in Vietnam s latest coronavirus outbreak, recorded two Covid-19 cases Saturday evening, raising its community transmission tally to 717 in over a month.
Both patients are employees of Taiwan-owned Vietnam Poyun Electronics Co., Ltd. in Chi Linh Town. They had close contact with previously confirmed patients and have already been quarantined following contact tracing.
Their test results Friday confirmed they were positive for the virus. Both are being treated at a local field hospital.

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Health reported the discovery of a further 18 locally transmitted cases on February 11 morning, with 15 found in Hai Duong province, the country’s biggest coronavirus hotspot, and 3 in Quang Ninh province.
The fifteen cases recorded in Hai Duong were F1 cases that were placed into isolation earlier, thus imposing no risk of spreading the virus to the wider community.
The three cases in Quang Ninh came into close contact with COVID-19 confirmed patients, with one relating to Vietnam Poyun Electronics Co.,Ltd, the coronavirus epicenter in the locality.
The national tally is now at 2,109, with 1,480 recoveries and 35 deaths.

The Minister proposed that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc request all people to wear masks as a mandatory measure and limit gathering in crowds, especially in confined spaces, such as attending weddings or sitting on buses.
At the meeting, PM Phuc also asked ministries, sectors, and localities to carry out three major tasks, including combating the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring preparations are made for the upcoming Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, and promoting economic growth during the first half of the year.

The Ministry of Health has called on Hai Duong Province, now the coronavirus epicenter, to quickly set up three field hospitals to cope with the surging number of cases.
Health minister Nguyen Thanh Long said the first would be built at the Chi Linh Town medical center with 200 beds, modern equipment and an intensive care unit.
