HANOI, 24th November, 2022 (WAM) The Vietnam Logistics Forum (VLF), the largest annual event in the field hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 2013, will take place in the northern port city of Hai Phong on 25 and 26 November, aiming to encourage firms to save energy, reduce emissions, and use clean power sources, reported the Vietnam News Agency (VNA).Themed ‘Green Logistics’, the 10th edition will be co-chaired by Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Tran.

After the boom in e-commerce and e-logistics in 2019, Vietnamâs logistics industry has been losing momentum rapidly, with the total volume of freight in the first 10 months of 2020 standing at only 1.43 billion tonnes of cargo, down 7.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2019, according to the General Department of Vietnamese Customs.
