During her time at UK, senior Jacklyn Vollmer discovered a way to combine her love of data with her passion for helping others. This weekend, she'll be graduating from the UK College of Public Health with a master's degree in public health along with a graduate certificate in biostatistics.
Casey Carter is a junior in the Human Health Sciences program in the UK College of Health Sciences. Her love of science started at an early age and she continues to follow her passion at UK.
After a domestic violence assault left her paralyzed in 2013, Lexington native April Ballentine channeled her trauma into a force for good, joining the Sheriff's office to become an advocate for other victims of domestic violence. Her dream of walking again seemed impossible until a chance meeting with a UK physical therapist generated an opportunity to trial a ReWalk exoskeleton.
