some sparking or really an explosion, the way it was described on tv that probably came as a result of the lines collapsing after the, after the collision after the accident. so you know people have cell phone cameras and things like that. so we re always looking for additional sources of video, information, if anybody has video information that we don t know about, we d love to hear about it from our witness line that witness line is witness @ntsb.gov. we d love to hear from that. also we re going to break away and continue to monitor this briefing. sarah feinberg is here in the situation room with me the acting administrator of the federal railroad administration and just back from philadelphia herself. sarah, thanks very much for coming in. he s making news robert sumwalt, the lead investigators for the ntsb the national
this is the leakiest investigation i think i ve ever heard of. maybe mary has heard even a leakier one, but i haven t. the video information can be important in accident investigations. it s a piece of evidence. but it should be with the investigators. it shouldn t be with the tabloids at this point. the families don t need to turn on their tv don t need to go to the store and see this on the front page of a tabloid. mary do you agree with justin? this is the leakiest investigation you ve ever seen? i ve seen some leaky ones in my day, particularly when i was in the department. justin is right. the way the ntsb handles it for example, on september 11 flight the families were asked if they wanted to hear the cvr. they had professional help standing by. only those who opted in. it was treated with the utmost of discretion and only those who wanted to know this did know this to help protect the families. so this is just a terrible way for these families to hear it,
that up. that was the assessment of the cia. because that turns out to be actually a pretty accurate assessment. so do you think that now the sort of dispiriting effect of both the video information and the arrest may actually make #benghazi kind of go away? i think you re overestimating some people in our political discourse. i don t think it s going to go away until the obama presidency is over and the hillary clinton 2016 campaign, assuming there is one, is over. and if she s president it may never go way for the next four or eight years. it s always going to be around with tees people. but the key question is not whether they re going to keep carrying on. the key question is whether majorities of the american public are going to be persuaded by that carrying on. and i don t think they have been. i know some polls have come out since the republicans announced the formation of this committee that say people support the creation of the committee. however, those same polls also say t
you get the warning, it s right at your doorstep. so be very, very careful. this is a dangerous situation. it will be going on throughout the nighttime hours. and when the sun goes down, when it becomes nighttime, you can t see these storms anymore, that s when it becomes crucial that you have your weather radio. here s that wide view i was trying to get for you, wolf. look. see these severe storms, all the way, portions of illinois stretching through kentucky then we re seeing that line, that strong line stretching from southern tennessee, alabama, mississippi, on into eastern louisiana. millions and millions of people affected by this and these are very, very dangerous. we saw what happened in arkansas. we re unfortunately starting to see the same events unfold for mississippi. we ll be with you, though, throughout the night. and we re going to be monitoring it until this comes to an end. potentially about 45 million people at risk right now across the country. jennifer, we ll get
management in the building has been diligent in getting all of the video information together for the police. do you have any evidence that links them to the state department and administration and people directly affected by the investigation and the case that you are bringing for your client? no. i don t. all kidding aside, i was joking earlier, i don t know who did it. if you watch the video, they come in, you know, before saturday, break in and through a hole and in the conference and leave. and come back at saturday night 11 time time 30 and leave with one small box and a computer in the box and they took boxes. and the boxes they have. do they have the information about the case that you are pursuing for her, on those files
