Two LGU-funded hospitals set to boost healthcare services in northern Negros Occidental. Cadiz City General Hospital and Abelardo and Remedios Bantug Memorial Hospital in Victorias City to begin operations next year. Detailed engineering study and cost analysis underway for the hospital project in Cadiz City. Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. aims to submit the project to LandBank within the year. Initial 50 beds for Cadiz City General Hospital, expandable to 100 beds. Victorias City to have a Level 1 hospital fully operational by 2024. Formerly Kaayong Lawas Foundation Hospital, the soon-to-open facility will include a dialysis center, eliminating the need for patients to travel to Bacolod City for treatment. (PNA)
