Central Cass stays perfect with 59-58 win at Kindred

By Holden Mitchell KINDRED – Two of North Dakota’s best high school girls’ basketball teams squared off in what ended up being very much a back-and-forth match-up. In the end, it was the Central Cass Squirrels that edged out the Kindred Vikings with a 59-58 victory. For the Squirrels (8-0 overall), they were led by guard Rylie Holzer and guard Victoria Richter who each had 11 points. Right behind them was forward Decontee Smith and guard Morgan Lee with 10 points each. One of the biggest differences in the game was how well Central Cass shot at the free-throw line. Kindred went 8 for 10 at the line whereas Central Cass went a whopping 15 for 22.
