When Mildred Ford started volunteering for St Peter’s Hospice little did she think it would be an association that would last decades.
Ninety-year-old Mildred was one of the first people to roll up her sleeves and volunteer at the first St Peter’s Hospice charity shop at Wells Road in Totterdown in 1981 - 40 years ago.
Great grandmother Mildred, from Knowle, was introduced to the hospice by her friend Vicky Bray.
