THE CANADIAN PRESS Toronto police are investigating after reports that allegedly poisoned peanuts were found in parks in the downtown core. Officers responded to a call for suspicious activity in the Canoe Landing Park and Victoria Memorial Square area on Saturday; a location often populated with dog walkers. Police say a man and woman were reportedly distributing peanut shells at tree bases throughout the park. Posts shared on neighbourhood Facebook groups warning dog owners to be careful say the pair were hostile when confronted.
