National Athlete of the Week is an award selected and presented by the USTFCCCA Communications Staff at the beginning of each week to eight collegiate indoor track & field athletes, when applicable (male and female for each of the three NCAA divisions and the NJCAA).
Nominations are open to the public. Coaches and sports information directors are encouraged to nominate their student-athletes; as are student-athletes, their families and friends, and fans of their programs. Nominated athletes are noticed before those athletes found through searching TFRRS.

Cloud County CC headlines the National TFRI and received its best ranking in program history, easily eclipsing the previous best of No. 4 set in Week 5 of 2019. It’s easy to see why the T-Birds have been charted so favorably by the formula: Cloud County CC owns 22 top-10 marks nationally, including No. 1 marks in the 60 and 200 from
Mercy Ntia-Obong, the 600 from
Pamela Milano, the 1000 from
Ludjenie Mondesir, the mile from
Patricia Koma as well as the shot put from Marie Forbes in addition to the 4×400 relay team.

Birim Central Municipal Assembly holds last meeting of the year
The Birim Central Municipal Assembly has held its third ordinary assembly meeting at Akim Oda to climax its activities of the year.
Discussion considered at the meeting included; fire-related issues, decentralising the national sanitisation days to the electoral areas, encroachers of Oda cemetery land, re-constituting revenue management committee and re-activating its operations.
Madam Victoria Adu, the Birim Central Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) commenting on fire issues said, though there were no rampant fire outbreaks in the area, the Ghana National Fire Service should intensify its sensitisation programmes while the Police Service also beef up security at market places to ensure fire-free during and after the yuletide.
