VICTOR, N.Y. (WHEC) Deputies in Ontario County say a head-on collision was to blame for delays on 490 near Victor Thursday morning.
The Ontario County Sheriff s Office tells us a Rochester man was driving a minivan when he crossed the median and crashed into an electric sign. Deputies say the driver kept going into the westbound land where he then slammed into an SUV. Both drivers were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, but are expected to survive.
Deputies say Arthur Carey the driver of the minivan - was ticketed for moving from his lane unsafely. Traffic on the highway is now back to two lanes after a brief closure while crews cleaned up the scene.
