I’m ready to face firing squad if I don’t keep my presidential promises ― Doyin Okupe

Former Senior Special Assistant on Publicity to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Doyin Okupe, has said that Nigerians should make him face a firing squad if he doesn’t keep his presidential promises.
He said he had a master plan for the security situation in the country and that if the situation remained the same, he would run for the presidency in 2023.

Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, KICC, has advised Nigerians to take COVID-19 vaccine when it is time, urging that conspiracy theorists should be ignored.
Speaking at a national combined service at the KICC Maryland Prayer Dome, Pastor Ashimolowo pointed out that the church believes in faith and doing the right thing.
He expressed that in his 49 years of being a Christian, he had received injection once or twice and would receive a third because he will be vaccinated.
“I am not mocking anyone… since I have been a Christian, for about 49 years now and I will be 69 next month (March) I have never slept in a hospital bed. I have recieved injection maybe once or twice.

CBN: Freezing of accounts is ‘gross infringement’ of fundamental right, Falana says

Femi Falana has warned the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to stop freezing accounts of activists.
He explained that the action of the apex bank constitutes a “gross infringement” to the fundamental right to a fair hearing.

Falana revealed that on November 4, 2020, the Central Bank of Nigeria approached the Federal High Court for an ex parte order to freeze the bank accounts of #EndSARS protesters.
According to Falana, “The CBN asked for 180 days to investigate the #EndSARS protesters for the offences of money laundering and terrorism. Convinced that the CBN was telling the truth, the court ordered that the bank accounts be frozen for 90 days.

Following what many described as an unguarded statement, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has apologised to his imperial majesty, Ooni of Ife.
Igboho in a viral video vented that the Ooni of Ife along with other Yoruba leaders have failed in speaking truth to power.
In his retraction video, Igboho said he didn’t mean to disrespect the Ooni, but “I apologise if it is perceived as a disrespect.
“I apologise to Yorubas at large, I have spoken with the Ooni and I am not fit to disrespect his royal majesty.
