Storm Lake Man Arrested on Child Abuse Related Charges

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Storm Lake man is in custody accused of abusing a young child last month.
Police were originally asked to investigate after a May 17th custody exchange allegedly revealed suspicious minor injuries to a two-year-old that had been in the suspect’s care.
That investigation continued until late last week when 28-year-old Victor Montoya was taken into custody and charged with child endangerment, causing bodily injury which is a felony offense. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on five thousand dollars bond.
