NDC will not present 12 lawyers in court for election petition - Amaliba The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has denied claims that it will assemble 12 lawyers as it prepares to petition the Supreme Court over their stance on the outcome of the polls. A member of the legal team of the party, lawyer Abraham Amaliba told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM that the NDC will not assemble so many lawyers as circulated on social media. The names of 12 persons that have come up as NDC legal brains are Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata, Lawyer Nana Ato Dadzie, Lawyer Fui Tsikata, Lawyer Dominic Ayeni, Lawyer Tony Lithur and Lawyer Dr. Bassit Bamba.

Yaw Buaben Asamoa, the Director of Communications of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has advised Lawyer Victor Kojoga Adawudu to file habeas corpus if the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) is denying him access to his client.
The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) is reported to have picked up one Eric Adogla, a driver of Peter Boamah Otokunor, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress on the dawn of Monday.
According to Buaben Asamoa, Adawudu s first point of call should not have been on a radio station to accuse the NIB of denying him access, but rather file habeas corpus for the NIB to produce the body of his client.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC ) has retained the contentious Sene West Parliamentary seat with a difference of 16 votes.
The NDC s Parliamentary Candidate for Sene West, Mr Kwame Ampofo Twumasi was Thursday evening [December 17, 2020] declared the winner of the December 7, 2020 Parliamentary election in the area.
He polled 13,116 votes, which is 16 votes more than the 13,100 that the New Patriotic Party s (NPP) candidate, Joseph Kumah Mackay obtained in the hotly contested election.
The National Democratic Party s (NDP) candidate in the election, Caesar Fomekah had 191 votes while a total of 660 votes were rejected.
Court to rule on Sene West parliamentary results on Thursday
A Wench High Court will on Thursday rule on the Sene West Parliamentary election after an injunction was placed following a petition by the New Patriotic Party.
The Sene West Constituency’s Tato battor Polling station B ballot box is yet to be counted after one Christian Nukpeta snatched the ballot box when the election results were being counted.
Although Christian Nukpeta was arrested immediately, the parties involved noticed that the seal of the ballot box belonging to the NPP had been removed leaving that of the Electoral Commission and NDC.
