when you talk to survivors about that money, what they say is that s the way they feel they can make their abusers and their the institutions who employed them, hurt. and that s the pain they want to inflict. but most of all, what survivors are looking for is for the court to say you were right, they were wrong. and you have been telling the truth for all of these years. there s a lot of psychological ramifications. and i will talk about this with one of the attorneys coming up, representing a child of abuse. there are ramifications for bringing something like this back up to the surface for a lot of individuals. especially if they were abused as children and now they are in their 40s and 50s. these are memories that are decades old. and there were, in many cases, there warranty security cameras. recordkeeping is spotty. for the judges, they have to figure out who is telling the truth. and in many cases, it could be a a, you know, victim versus
said it s the organization of mom s demand action is you putly rallies together this weekend in multiple cities. is that enough to pressure them? i don t know. but what i do know and what we saw around the repeal of healthcare a few years ago before late senator john mccain voted against repealing the healthcare law is that people came to d.c. people called their congress people. the phones were ringing off the hook. i think msnbc and us did stories about sitting in offices and just listen together phone calls th listening to the phone calls coming in. part of it is using the media do that but do people show up in d.c. when congress is back and demand some kind of action? it s kind of what we saw in ohio which got governor mike dewine to say i m going to try to push forward that s policies even if i m not sure my particular legislature will do anything about it. there s a new morning poll out that shows 47% of republicans are actually supporting stricter gun legislation following the
institution kind of decision given that years have have passed. talking about it is never easy. if they can get justice, that s everything for them. but it is a decision for them i feel of making the decision to talk about it at the same time recognizing they are abused. within a year span of time. for many of them, they can t get past it. they need a resolution. most of all what they need to hear is you were telling the truth. remember, they have been called liars. they have been told by their abusers, no one will believe you. because you are, if you were abused by the catholic church, many when you talk to survivors, they were told they are living mortal sins, they are bad people. that they are controlled by the

pretty damning report. it was. he was very thorough in this investigation. it took a lot longer. he expected it to come back last week. i tell you, the most damaging part is the harassment was so persistent and so damaging that jonathan martin not only felt like he had to leave, but he contemplated killing himself not once, but twice. that to me the voice mails were awful. they were awful. incognito s side tried to combat that by releasing success messages that showed there was engagement and a friendship. the report said it got so bad for jonathan martin he felt like he had to engage and join in to hopefully lessen the amount of harassment. you know how it is. text book victim versus bully. i will join and be like them.
