Police say the incident happened on July 15, 2021.
Mzimba Deputy Publicist, Sub Inspector John Nyirongo said reports show that Nguluwe phoned his son who is in the Republic of South Africa that he was tired of living, hence he was going to commit suicide
Upon receipt of the phone call, the son phoned relatives in his village about the development.
The village headman organized a search party and found Nguluwe lifeless hanging under the tree.
Police from Kafukule informed medical personnel who conducted the postmortem and results showed that the death was due to suffocation.
Police in Mzimba are pleading with the public to seek lawful remedies at nearby Victim Support Units when they face challenges rather than committing suicide.

Kaliati was saluting Faustace Chirwa, Margaret Ali, Emmie Chanika, Emma Kaliya, Barbara Banda and Maggie Kathewera Banda, Mercy Timba, Jean Nkwanda, Reen Kachere and Cecilia who, from the early 1990s, led the battle for women empowerment in political and economic circles.
The incident occurred in the morning of December 13, 2020 at Mwawa Fishing dock in Mangochi.
It is reported that, Brenda was a sex worker operating at Makawa Trading Centre before she met her husband. The two got married and had a daughter who was born last month.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that since the birth of the child, the couple had been having family wrangles.
During the evening of December 12, 2020, the husband came home from his fishing business and found his wife writing a letter. After quizzing her, she told him that the letter was for the landlord.
Few minutes later, the wife sneaked out of the house with the baby. The husband looked for them, but it proved futile. She was later found floating along the Lake Malawi with the baby on her back.
