Huge rats have become an even bigger problem in Halewood over the last few weeks, residents of the town have said. One woman living off Wood Road described them as “massive” and “the size of a cat” while another said she had to frequently remove dead rats from her garden in Arncliffe Road.
The first woman, who did not want to be named, added: “It’s most definitely got worse recently.
