U.P. Home Health, Hospice and Private Duty representatives Jennie Garrett-Bureau, left, and Cindy Nyquist, right, present a check for $1,000 to Mining Journal publisher’s secretary Vicki Fawcett on Wednesday for The Mining Journal’s Cheer Club. “Making sure Upper Peninsula families have enough for Christmas is more important this year than ever,” Nyquist said. “Thats why we are proud to make this donation from our family at U.P. Home Health and Hospice to the Upper Peninsula community through the Cheer Club.” The Cheer Club, which kicked off Nov. 27, collects unwrapped toys and gifts to be donated to local children and families in need during the holiday season. Gifts are distributed to local families through St. Vincent de Paul and The Salvation Army of Marquette County.
