The Peruvian Government has approved the Special Exceptional Administrative Sanctioning Procedure (PASEE), which enables the expulsion from the country, within a period of 48 hours, of foreigners with irregular migratory status or those whose illicit activities put public safety at risk.

Peru’s government will impose harsh penalties for those who steal a cellphone, including life in prison if a robber kills someone while stealing their mobile device.
The revised penal code stipulates that the theft of a cell phone will result in an initial sentence of 12 years in prison, with the possibility of an extended 30-year sentence if the offender employs a weapon or explosives during the act.
