Yo creía en la revolución cubana, en el Che, en Fidel y en Camilo Cienfuegos. Cuando era adolescente me contaron que conocí al Che, cuando llegó afeitado y clandestino estuvo en mi casa, me sentó en su falda mientras discutían, seguramente, temas importantes. Leí a José Martí desde muy joven y amaba a Silvio Rodríguez. Cuando volví de México en plena dictadura de García Meza a escondidas me traje todos sus discos. Distraje, sin querer, a los militares que revisaban mi equipaje cuando les pedí que se quedaran con mis Camel para que mi papá no los viera, se rieron y me dejaron pasar. Traía correspondencia de los exiliados bolivianos. Sus familias venían a buscar las cartas y me agradecían llorando por traer noticias. Yo lloraba con cada un@ de ell@s.
