The true salt of an authentically vested investigative journalist is that he/she/(this person under construction) can follow up on headline bursting stories that we really need to know more about. As I am neither investigative (I can’t even find my socks) nor a journalist (I don’t even own a vest) I am just going to dredge up something stupid: Slime mold can store and preserve memory without a brain.
