America is on a roll when it comes to COVID-19 vaccinations.
As of May 10, nearly 153 million Americans had received at least one dose of the vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That is 46% of the population.
Millions more hope to join them soon. The good news for these folks is that many pharmacies now are offering same-day or walk-in appointments.
Following are some pharmacies touting this convenience. Before showing up at one of these pharmacies, call ahead to make sure they have vaccines available.

Novavax vaccine trials run in South Africa and the UK indicate that its efficacy in the UK was 89% at least 7 days after individuals had received two doses of vaccine. In South Africa, the vaccine efficacy was 60% in people living without HIV.
The trial is being viewed as highly significant because it is the first vaccine to be tested on a particular COVID-19 variant first identified in South Africa.
