Evacuees travelling overseas with pets must have them inspected Social Share THE Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformations, Industry and Labour has advised the public and persons planning to travel overseas with their pets during this period of emergency, that their animals must first be inspected. A release from the ministry explained that Chief Veterinary Office Dr. Kathian Hackshaw, said the animals will have to be identified using either a microchip for international and regional travel, or a temporary band with a unique number for regional travel. Owners are also required to take along all medical records of animals to the inspection appointment to facilitate the issuance of the required export health certificate which will be provided free of cost.
