The Webb County Commissioners Court meeting on Monday will be discussing topics regarding COVID-19 rental assistance, the procurement of additional computer equipment for the Sheriff’s office to target internet crimes against children and the continuation of the Veteran’s Treatment Program amongst other items.
For the COVID-19 rental assistance topic, the court highlighted the disastrous consequences that the pandemic has brought to the residents of Webb County, specifically the cost of housing and rent. They will be discussing an agreement with the National Association of Counties to request $425,388.70 from the U.S. Department of Treasury.
