5 of the Best Resources for Hudson Valley Veterans
I’ve been pro-veteran my whole life. My dad was a veteran, my brother-in-law and my best friends are both veterans. I grew up in the age of Vietnam, so I’ve known lots of soldiers through the years. But I did not realize the plight of so many veterans until we met Commander Tom Zurhellen who now has a segment on our show. Commander Tom walked across the country, 22 miles a day, to bring awareness to veterans issues. So, when I decided to write this article I contacted Tom, and he helped me so much that he deserves guest writer credit for this one. War Memorial Center partners with Combined Arms to improve service referrals for veterans

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Texas Panhandle War Memorial Center is just beginning a partnership with Combined Arms, a veteran nonprofit organization with the mission to better the transition from military to civilian life.
“What we’re doing is trying to ensure that no matter where a veteran is at that we have the ability to connect them with the resources they need,” said Vincent Rapp, rural Texas regional manager at Combined Arms.
