but the bottom line is, there is a lot of information in the application for the search weren t that is very disturbing, including a cadaver dog hitting open the floor of the parents bedroom. from being a d.a. and a judge these cadaver dogs are very well trained but even more disturbing is that now we understand why police kept going back. they made an application for a search warrant to a judge and they said, look, judge, based upon the inconsistency in the statements of bradley and that our information leads us to necessity our doing more work than just a view of the house, we have to go in there. what they say in the affidavit, by the way, which was written by a 13-year veteran detective of the kansas city crimes against children unit, not only did the

it s not an easy case to solve. this veteran detective knows every game in the sprawling hole len beck neighborhood. what was the first thing you did? we look on the ground for casings and look in the air for cam ras. for cameras. there s cameras everywhere in the city. the camera was working and recorded this tape. it showed me a vehicle, a green honda drive up the street, a short time later turn around, you hear shots being fired and you see that same green honda take off. no one has come forward with any details about who was in the car? i ve got a lot of names and i think they re involved, but i can t put them behind the wheel. you need an eyewitness? i need an eyewitness. detective fields is convinced steven s friendses know who shot him. his friends saw it? three, at least four of them saw it. none have come forward, of course. not a sing one? not a single one.
