BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) â Local veterans lined up on their Harleys Monday to escort these future soldiers and sailors as they head out for basic training.
Local Veteran Ben Patten, one of the organizers for the escort rides, said this is already about the fifth escort Bakersfield Harley Davidson provided this year.
He estimates that they sent off about 900 recruits over 50 escorts last year.
They ve been providing these escort rides since 2007.
