Vattenfall has chosen Hvide Sande as its O&M base for its Vesterhav South and North wind farms.
In 2019, Hvide Sande was designated as Vattenfall s service port for the Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm (
pictured).
Once the two latest projects come online, the Port of Hvide Sande will service a total of 90 offshore wind turbines and a fossil-free electricity production corresponding to the electricity consumption for 800,000 Danish households.
Vattenfall project director for operation and maintenance, offshore wind, Kristian Sorgenfri Jensen said: First and foremost, the location of the harbour is important, and here Hvide Sande is very well located to be able to service the North Sea South and North.
