Hundreds gather for vigil to pay respects to fallen Pinellas County deputy

EAST LAKE, Fla. - Hundreds of people in the East Lake community came together Saturday to remember a deputy killed in the line of duty. Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Magli was hit and killed Wednesday as he was trying to stop a drunk driver. We all just need to just love each other and keep peace with each other, Magli s mother Angela Magli said.
Angela Magli was emotional and grateful Saturday night to the hundreds of people who came to pay tribute to her son.

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. â A community coping with tragedy. Just three days ago the Pinellas County Sheriffâs Office lost one of their own in the line of duty, and on Saturday night, hundreds of people gathered to honor him and show support for his family.
âMy son would be very honored, for everybody that came out today,â said an emotional Angela Magli, the mother of Deputy Michael Magli.
Deputy Michael Magliâs parents and siblings gathered Saturday night at the site where their son and brother tragically lost his life just three days ago.
