VERONA, Miss. (WTVA) - Police identified the suspect accused of assaulting an officer at a store in Verona.
According to Verona Police Chief Marsenio Nunn, a police officer responded the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 23 to a report of someone lying in the roadway near the Papa V’s store.
The officer found no one outside the store and went inside. There the officer confronted a man whom the store’s manager had previously filed complaints about, Nunn said.
