The fire is burning in mount vernon and cbs 2 joins us live from the scene. Janelle . Reporter good morning to you, mary. Its been burning for about three and a half hours now. You can see behind me still very much intense here on gremerton avenue. This started about 1 00 this morning and route now we see several residents and Business Owners watching obviously very upset to see this building burn down. It started inside of sals deli and this is is just across the street from hartley park. It traveled to apartments behind the deli and quickly spread and now to the cleaners which you can see right now consumed by the flames as firefighters work to try to get a handle on this this morning. We spoke with one man who was evacuated from his home by police. Here is what he had to say. The police came by and told us to come out of the house because its too much smoke.
