Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force agents attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Lawrence and 9th Street.
The driver, Jasper O Dell Polite, 30, Leesville, LA, refused to comply and led Agents on a short pursuit to the Vernon Place Apartments where he stopped his vehicle. Polite was taken into custody without incident.
Agents charged O Dell with one count of Possession of Marijuana, one count of Possession of Cocaine, one count of Proper Equipment required on vehicles, three counts of Stop signs and yield signs, one count of Aggravated flight from an officer, one count of No driver s license on person, one count of Possession of CDS in presence of a minor child, one count of Child passenger restraint system, and one count of Open container.
