thanks for joining us. i m adam may. bp said that top-kill had a 60 to 70% chance of working, but now that chance is zero. tonight, the company has another new plan to stop the leak. terrell brown reports from the louisiana coast. reporter: b.p. announced that its top-kill operation to cap the oil leak has failedp. after three full days of attempting top-kill, we have been unable to overcome the flow and now believe it s time to move on to the next option. reporter: the next option is to cap the leak with a containment valve. the operation will take at least four days. president obama released a statement that says the new approach is risky and difficult. he vowed to not relent despite the latest setback. we re very disappointed in today s announcement. i know all of you arance husband to see this well secured. reporter: the oil giant paid for this ad in saturday s new york times. bp names it s doing all it can. the environment am and economic impacts are clear. t

double stabbing a man and woman attacked in anne arundel county. right now looking for a suspect. j we just got word that the woman died of her injuries. it happened in a pasadena apartment complex. we re live in anne arundel county. here s the latest from the investigators tonight. reporter: acation a case they are now treating as a homicide investigation. early saturday, anne arundel police respond to a call in pasadena to find a partially blood stained parking lot leftover from a stabbing. a 52 years old woman died at the baltimore washington medical center. officers arrived and found two people stabbed. a 52 years old philadelphia along with a 25-year-old male. i haven t heard of anything happening before. it s a quiet neighborhood. i haven t heard of anything. reporter: they heard both victims arguing with a suspect. then the suspect got into a small silver call with a woman and fled the area. sounded like two males arguing and using very bad language. li
