Condolences streamed in from across the Kuils River community after the passing of Vern Jeftha (60) on Friday 11 December.
Jeftha, who had lived in Gersham for the past 30 years, was not only a role model to his three sons – Chad (35), Jason (33) and Lance (20) – but they and many others will remember him for his passion and willingness to assist within the community.
His long-time friends Graham and Fay Daniels said he fell ill on Sunday 6 December and drove himself to Karl Bremer Hospital from where he was transferred to Tygerberg Hospital the next day. He tested positive for Covid-19.
