Energy Security Emergency in Texas Brings Alternative, Clean, Renewable & Reliable Energy Source into the National Spotlight

Energy Security Emergency in Texas Brings Alternative, Clean, Renewable & Reliable Energy Source into the National Spotlight Renewable Liquid Heating Fuel Industry Extends Solution to National Crisis News provided by Share this article Share this article SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass., Feb. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/  As Texas endures the greatest energy insecurity in recent history, the Renewable Liquid Heating Fuel (RLHF) industry is offering America a viable, clean fuel that can be utilized as part of the U.S. energy mix, to relieve pressure on an overstretched electrical grid, keeping the heat and lights on into the coming decades. Renewable liquid heating fuel is a blend of traditional heating oil and renewable biodiesel. Biodiesel is a low carbon replacement for heating oil that is produced from used cooking oil, animal fats and agricultural byproducts or co-products. These low carbon fuels reduce lifecycle greenhouse gases on average 73%-80%.

Letter: Focus on recovery

To the editor: Open Letter to Governor Phil Scott and the Vermont Legislature: We appreciate the challenge of governing during a global pandemic. Instead of meeting with colleagues and constituents, we now rely on video chat, texts, emails, and phone calls. We are in an extraordinary time, where safety requires us to maintain physical distance from one another. We believe government is essential and applaud the efforts to adapt. We cannot allow this virus to grind the gears of government to a halt. Even so, this is not the time for business as usual, especially for the Vermonters we represent. Although state leaders have strived to keep engagement up between the citizens, committees and the Administration, the 2020 session provided many examples showing major challenges to gathering necessary data and testimony to craft quality policies. The organizations listed below represent hundreds of thousands of working Vermonters. We ask that our elected leaders of all political parties fo

Coronavirus Funds Help 200 Fix Or Replace Oil Tanks

0:50 Vermont officials have used federal coronavirus relief funds to help around 200 people fix or replace above-ground fuel tanks so they could get home heating fuel delivered this winter. A 2017 Vermont law requires that above-ground tanks be inspected every three years. Tanks that fail cannot be filled. Matt Cota of the Vermont Fuel Dealers Association says the state has an aid program, but it had run out of funds. Vermont Legal Aid pointed out that COVID Relief Funds could then be used to help. Kristin Schultz, administrator of the fuel tank assistance program said 198 awards were written using coronavirus money. All contents © copyright 2020 Associated Press. All rights reserved
