ERIE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A man wanted for a number of crimes in Lorain and Erie Counties was arrested early Wednesday by The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
James Thompson, 39, was found sitting in his vehicle in the Mill Hollow Vermilion River Reservation and was arrested without incident. said U.S. Marshals.
Thompson was pulled over by Vermilion police on May 10 after officers received a report of a suspicious vehicle.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Vermilion police are searching for James Thompson, 39, after he led police on a chase that reached speeds of close to 80 miles an hour before he lost control and crashed into a ditch.

VERMILION, Ohio (WOIO) - Vermilion Police are urging the community to come forward and identify the suspect caught on camera trying to break into a car parked in a driveway in the Valley View neighborhood.
According to police, the incident happened during the recently reported car break-in thefts.
Police pointed out he has a possible tattoo or ankle brace on their lower left leg.

VERMILION, Ohio (WOIO) - Police are investigating another threat at a local school. Vermilion Police were called to Sailorway Middle School around 10:45 a.m. Monday for reports of a bomb threat.
Police warned people on Facebook to avoid the area and school. The building was quickly evacuated and police say after an extensive search, no device was found.
“We have the number that the threat came in on and we have subpoenas out for that information,” said Chief Christopher Hartung.
