An unsettling series of threats of violence against Roanoke schools sent via social media ended for now with two arrests after two days of canceled classes. School and police leaders urged parents and students to remain diligent, as such incidents often spur copycats. Further disruptions of school may lead to cancellations of extracurriculars and extension of the school year.
