What a difference a week makes.
Members of the Cape Cod COVID-19 Response Task Force yesterday used words like ecstatic, profoundly encouraging and remarkable, saying limited state supply of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine means they are confident in their ability to reach vulnerable populations.
Sen. Julian Cyr (D-Truro) said the whole region now is pulling in one direction, focusing on homebound and vulnerable older adults who are without access to a computer or transportation. The reality is that we only have a certain amount of supply, Cyr said. It’s going to be a heavy lift to get everybody vaccinated. Doses are not yet going to local boards of health. What has improved is the level of communication and transparency thanks to last week s establishment of a regional vaccine consortium.
