GASTON, N.C. (WBTV) - The City of Gastonia officially cut the ribbon to Fuse District Stadium on East Franklin Street Thursday.
For the last 18 months, the nearly $22 million-dollar facility has been under construction. Thursday’s ceremony marked the transfer of the park’s management to Velocity Companies, Inc.
Conference for entrepreneurs set for Feb. 20

The Zeta Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the Eta Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., will present “Minding Your Business - An Entrepreneurs’ Conference” on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This inaugural event will be headlined by Brandon Bellamy, CEO of The Velocity Companies, and owner of the Atlantic League Baseball franchise, and will include guest lecturers with an impressive combination of experience and expertise. Seasoned panelists will share their own stories, tips, and information on starting, maintaining, and growing small businesses.
