LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Mexico’s President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, responded to Governor Pete Rickett’s comments on undocumented workers getting vaccinated on Wednesday.
President Obrador said that Mexico will vaccinate its undocumented citizens in America, but the president didn’t elaborate further on carrying this out.
In a press briefing on Monday, Gov. Ricketts was asked about undocumented workers–specifically, those working in meatpacking plants–getting the vaccine.
He said, “You’re supposed to be a legal resident of the country to be able to be working in those plants so I do not expect that illegal residents will be part of the vaccine with that program,” Ricketts said.
