Prime Minister Hun Sen announced that despite Cambodia having run out of Covid-19 vaccines, he would not allow people to be vaccinated with expired vaccines.
Prime Minister Hun Sen has renewed his calls for people to continue the fight against Covid-19 through preventive measures and by keeping their vaccinations up to date. The call came as the Ministry of Health reminded the public that first, second, third and fourth doses were now widely available.
The municipal and provincial administrations throughout Cambodia have issued new guidance to limit gatherings in order to prevent the spread of the highly infectious Omicron strain of Covid-19.
The Phnom Penh Municipal Hall and several provincial administrations have begun re-implementing measures to restrict gatherings in an effort to stem the rapid spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant, which has pushed daily cases above 200 for the last two days.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology is studying a location in Kampong Speu province’s Oral district to build a new reservoir that will prevent flooding and mitigate deforestation.
